SAINT MARY'S REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER RECEIVES SILVER SYRINGE AWARD

Reno, Nev. - Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014—Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center was one of four hospitals awarded by Immunize Nevada with the Silver Syringe Award for having an employee influenza immunization rate of 90% or higher. Immunize Nevada is holding its annual Silver Syringe Awards to recognize 16 outstanding individuals and organizations who have gone above and beyond to protect Nevadans from vaccine-preventable diseases. The 16th annual Silver Syringe Awards takes place Saturday, March 1 at 6:00 PM at the Peppermill Reno.

“This event once again celebrates the successes of immunization champions who work tirelessly to keep Nevadans of all ages healthy,” said Heidi Parker, Immunize Nevada Executive Director. “This evening gives us the opportunity to recognize passionate individuals and organizations that are committed to improving the communities they work in and making Nevada a healthier state.”
