SAINT MARY'S CEO HELEN LIDHOLM NAMED AMONG 130 FEMALE HOSPITAL AND HEALTH SYSTEM LEADERS TO KNOW

RENO, Nev. – Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 – Helen Lidholm, chief executive officer of Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center and Medical Group was named in Becker's Hospital Review "130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know" for the second year in a row. Individuals included on the list lead some of the largest and most prominent hospitals and health systems in the nation.

Women featured on this list have demonstrated a proven ability to lead their respective organizations within the hospital and health care industry. They have demonstrated considerable skill and promise in midst of healthcare's challenging environment. The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected leaders through an editorial review process that considered a wide range of demonstrated management and leadership skills, like oversight of hospital or health system operations, financial turnarounds and quality improvement initiatives.

Lidholm was the only healthcare executive on Becker's Hospital Review list to represent the state of Nevada. She has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership and professional experience and under her leadership, Saint Mary's Medical Group launched a Center for Neurovascular and Stroke Care as well as a Center for Pregnancy and New Life within the past year. Additionally, Saint Mary's recently became an Accredited Chest Pain Center with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC). Lidholm also led Saint Mary's to receive re-accreditation with commendation by the Commission on Cancer (CoC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS).
