SAINT MARY'S MEDICAL GROUP ANNOUNCES NEW PULMONARY AND CRITICAL CARE SERVICES

RENO, Nev. – Monday, March 2, 2015 – Saint Mary's Medical Group has announced the opening of Saint Mary's Pulmonary and Critical Care which includes an expanded inpatient and newly developed outpatient service designed for patients with respiratory and sleep disorders. Joining the practice is Jeffrey Bacon, MD, Anthony Floreani, MD, Steve Mashour, MD and Shibu Skaria, MD. Saint Mary's Pulmonary and Critical Care specializes in treating a wide variety of respiratory and sleep disorders. These include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease/lung fibrosis, pulmonary vascular disease, respiratory infections, lung nodules, lung cancer and more. They will offer comprehensive inpatient services as well as outpatient services, including a comprehensive Sleep Study Center, diagnostic bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound and Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscopy (ENB) powered by the superDimension System. Additionally, they will offer complete pulmonary function testing (PFT), the methacholine challenge test for asthma, cardio/pulmonary exercise testing, the six-minute walk test and patient education.

Jeffrey Bacon, MD received his medical degree from Wayne State University of Medicine in Detroit, Mich. and completed his residency in internal medicine at Barnes Hospital, Washington University in Saint Louis, Mo. Additionally, Dr. Bacon completed his fellowship in pulmonary, critical care and sleep disorders at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care and internal medicine, and is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Bacon has been practicing pulmonary medicine in northern Nevada for over 15 years.

Anthony Floreani, MD is a medical School graduate from the University of Nebraska in Omaha, Neb. He completed his internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. He is certified in pulmonary medicine and internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Medical Association and American Thoracic Society.

Steve Mashour, MD is a medical school graduate from the University of Nevada who completed his internal medicine residency at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev., and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. Dr. Mashour has been practicing pulmonary medicine in northern Nevada for over ten years. He is board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care and internal medicine, and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Washoe County Medical Society, and the Nevada State Medical Society.

Shibu Skaria, MD is a medical school graduate from Saint George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, N.Y. Dr. Skaria specializes in pulmonary medicine, critical care and sleep disorders. Additionally, he is board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care and internal medicine, and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Thoracic Society and International Society for Aerosols in Medicine.
