Center for Neurovascular Care
Saint Mary's now offers a comprehensive program designed for patients suffering from stroke, neurologic and vascular disorders. Led by stroke fellowship trained vascular neurologist, Aaron C. Heide, MD the new Center for Neurovascular Care will provide patients with greater access to specialty care in northern Nevada.
Saint Mary's Center for Neurovascular Care will also include access to a new Telemedicine program that provides rapid treatment for patients that need access to a specialist. Patients will be able to see a specialist same-day, which will support early treatment and be a mechanism for life-saving care.
In addition to the robust services of the new Center, Saint Mary's will have Nevada's only nationally accredited Neurovascular Ultrasound Lab. The lab uses a non-invasive approach and state-of-the-art equipment to provide comprehensive assessments of blood flow to the brain. The ultrasound studies are performed by highly qualified technologists and interpreted by Dr. Heide.
