To check one's risk of heart attack and stroke, an ankle-brachial index (ABI) can be used and to evaluate one's overall health and detect a wide range of disorders, including anemia, infection and leukemia, a complete blood count (CBC) can be taken. Additionally, a comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) is a blood test that measures glucose levels, electrolyte and fluid balance, kidney and liver function while a colorectal fit test checks for signs of precancerous polyps or colon cancer.
